I served as the Marketing Vice President for ASWWU at Walla Walla University. ASWWU is the student leadership organization responsible for coordinating all student events on campus. I managed a team of 22 individuals across four departments, including a direct team of six. I oversaw the production of merchandise such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, and tote bags. In this role, I collaborated closely with three other ASWWU departments to promote their events. Additionally, I streamlined marketing requests, updated equipment, and organized the onboarding process for new team members.

One of our biggest challenges was effectively communicating event details to the entire student body. We used multiple channels like social media, email, and posters to reach students. Our strategy involved repeated promotion across different platforms: posters were displayed two weeks before events, Instagram posts went live three or more days in advance, and stories were shared the day before. This multi-channel approach ensured students always had access to event information and opportunities to connect and have fun.

I managed ASWWU’s Instagram account and sent out a weekly email newsletter highlighting upcoming events. For the 2024–2025 academic year, I developed a marketing theme loosely inspired by Bauhaus design principles. I chose this theme for its flexibility. It allowed designs to be tailored to specific content while maintaining cohesion through consistent use of geometric shapes, masked images, a custom color palette, and a curated font selection.
