I was first exposed to focus stacking in Principles of Photography. I did a series of focus-stacked photos as my final project in the class. I then did a senior independent study on focus stacking. I presented a three-part demonstration on focus stacking techniques during the 2025 winter quarter for Principles of Photography. I have used both Photoshop and Helicon Focus to create the focus stacks.
This photo of an almond orchard was taken in California. It includes both a focus stack and an HDR stack. It was one of the final photos printed on metal.
