My family listed a Mexican vacation timeshare for rent on VRBO, and I handled all the graphic design work. Since VRBO is a highly saturated market, we aimed to differentiate our listing with high-quality, professional design. I created a custom logo that served as the banner for our page. Most VRBO listings lack any design elements.

Our goal was to convey the experience of a luxurious summer vacation through all the design elements. We also wanted the visuals to align with the resort’s branding to create a cohesive connection. For the logo, we chose an eggplant purple, a color associated with sophistication and high class. To enhance the sense of luxury, we incorporated gold highlights throughout the designs. Given the rental’s location in Mexico, palm leaves were used as decorative motifs, shaded in vibrant greens with subtle gold accents to complement the overall aesthetic.
We also took inspiration from popular VRBO hosts who provide welcome packets to their guests. To make our listing stand out, we created a welcome packet that included trip tips, details about resort services, and our personal recommendations for local experiences. QR codes were used to offer guests easy access to additional information. The packet concluded with a call to action encouraging guests to leave positive reviews if they enjoyed their stay. This approach earned us very positive feedback for being easy to work with and enhancing the overall guest experience.
